Tony Carbonette is a Certified High Performance hockey coach and has been coaching hockey since 2003. As a former AAA and junior player, Tony is very passionate about helping players grow and develop both on and off the ice. Tony spent 11 years working for Hockey Canada as a High-Performance Coordinator / Athletic Therapist where he grew his robust philosophy of athlete development.

Tony utilizes his strengths in high performance and his vast experience in coaching to help guide and develop players both on and off the ice so they can be prepared for success at the next level.
Tony owns his own sports injury clinic where he works as an Athletic Therapist and is the current
president of the Ontario Athletic Therapists Association.

As a coach, Tony’s development model revolves around a distinct focus on skating, passing, shooting. These skills will be a foundation for all practices and how the team approaches tactical processes.

Tony’s goals are to make the coaches are producing:

1. Better people

2. Better athletes

So, the team philosophy will be 3 (three) pillars:

• Effort

The team philosophy on practice is to have detailed sessions with lots of communication and educationso that athletes learn proper practice habits. Proper drill progression is a staple allowing athletes to grow and evolve. Practices are high paced practices with a deep routed foundation of fitness.

The focus on game play is very detailed with an emphasis on the defensive zone, the offensive zone, on-ice effort and tactical decision making.
